No motor? No problem!

I've owned my GTS since late July 2021-and it's everything Mickey says it is, plus. I think that Terra Trike hit a home run with the 2x11 Shimano 105/SLX drivetrain stock gearing coupled with the 24 inch rear wheel.
Since owning my Molten Orange machine that I've affectionately named "Sparky", I've put about 2000 miles on it near my home in West Michigan. I gave the gearing a real test on the rolling moraines in the northwestern side of the lower peninsula, and it was fun!! The hills are steep, repetitive and fast! I had enough gear on the low end for the climb, and enough high gearing to build on the free downhill speed on the other side. That in turn, sent me up the next hill about half way as I ran the gears down to complete the summit. At the summit, I began ramping up the gears to run downhill again. As a person who raced time trials, rode endurance events and did supported tours on a diamond frame bicycle, I found that my GTS exceeded my expectations riding steep rolling terrain.
Having made sure my front tires were equally inflated to 80 psi, I found the trike to be stable at speeds reaching 30-50 mph on those straight downhill runs. I've got to admit I sort of chickened out taking any curves at those speeds, but it handled well on turns too.
Riding this trike is a lot of fun and without a motor, it is a very capable HPV!
